Space Hijackers
The Space Hijackers were a group of Anarchitects based in London, who dedicated themselves to “battling the constant oppressive encroachment onto public spaces of institutions, corporations and urban planners”. They planned and carried out projects from 1999 through 2014. Their first major event was the hijacking of a Circle line carriage on London Underground. Their operations included everything from building miniature "City farms" all over a square mile through producing "Experimental Pedestrian Schemes" in Brixton. SpaceHijackers Mayday Cricket Match 2005

(7:38) The Space Hijackers challenged the government to a game of cricket on Mayday 2005. Sadly, their right honorable opponents proved themselves neither right nor honorable by not turning up.

Therefore the honour of the city and responsibility for upholding standards of attire and other day-to-day gentlemanly concerns was won by default and handed to The People.

SpaceHijackers in Leipzig - Saturday, December 2, 2006

(3:42) Saturday 2nd December 2006, the Space Hijackers visit the Leipziger Kamera anti-CCTV campaign group in Leipzig, Germany. Saturday saw us invading the town centre wearing CCTV-blocking paper bags, and marking secure and insecure zones with paper tags. Shot and edited by Mike Cupcake.
