United Nations Sustainable Development Goals

United Nations Sustainable Development GoalsThe Sustainable Development Goals are a call for action by all countries – poor, rich, and middle-income – to promote prosperity while protecting the planet. They recognize that ending poverty must go hand-in-hand with strategies that build economic growth and address a range of social needs including education, health, social protection, and job opportunities while tackling climate change and environmental protection.  The 17 Goals were adopted by all UN Member States in 2015, as part of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development which set out a 15-year plan to achieve the Goals.

This guide has suggested texts for each of the 16 main goals.  (The 17th goal, Developing Partnerships, is excluded.)
