A discussion of how the choice of performance space features in any theatre-maker intention as it will determine how the piece is staged and how the piece will be experienced by the audience. All theatre-makers (creators, designers, directors and performers) play a role in how the space is used, how it is transformed and the role it plays in focusing the audience’s attention on particular aspects of the stage action.
