Required Reading & Assignment for 9th Grade English

The assignment: Choose at least TWO books from the 9th Grade Summer Reading Choices List to read.

At the end of the summer, you will need to write a letter to your English Teacher, Gretchen Nordleaf Nelson.  This letter is a great way to introduce yourself and talk about your favorite book you read over the summer.
Choose ONE of the books and tell her what you liked about the book you read – or what you didn’t like. This letter should be about 200 words long and emailed to her at gnordleaf@westsoundacademy.org or delivered in person on the first day of school.
Your first class project for English is going to involve your summer reading book so the more details you put in your letter the more fun you will have with your first project!
